Little Red is depicted from behind, seemingly drawn by the moon to move forward into the night. The moon is her companion on this journey into the unknown and symbolizes hope and resilience.
I have painted this fairy tale numerous times and never tire of the lovely contrast of the solid red palette of Little Red’s cape against the backdrop of my Canadian landscape.
